You never know where you’re journey is going to lead you, but actor David Dastmalchain is proof that persistence and taking chances on yourself will lead you to your goals, even in the toughest of times. From wanting just basic needs to be met to getting a role in The Dark Knight, and the upcoming Blade Runner 2049 film, David remains humble and hungry on his journey, with a focus on positively impacting the world with his work. I sat down with him recently, and he shared some of his journey with me. His laid back excitement made it feel like I was speaking with an old friend. His welcoming demeanor put me at ease at the start of our interview.
He talked about his method of acting and how he really gets into the essence of the characters he portrays, as well as how he took the pain from his past struggle with addiction, and transmuted it to stories that he hopes can inspire others. After talking with him, I’m even more excited to see him shine in upcoming films this year like Blade Runner 2049 and The Belko Experiment. There is nothing “small” about Dastmalchain’s heart, creativity, and spirit. Take a listen to the Peripheral On Center podcast and find out why.
