Fynnton Gray

Recently I had the fun opportunity to speak with Fynnton Gray. Fynnton is the charismatic and evanescent six-year-old son of Kenn Gray (of Kenn Gray Home) and Kendra ‘Bunny Jo’ Gray. Fynnton is already making huge strides in the modeling and acting world and has been quite busy lately with exciting and new creative projects. For only six-years-old, Fynnton is well spoken, charismatic and fun to talk to. I rarely get the chance to interview kids so I love keeping it light. Fynnton models, acts and loves being a kid. He is also very mannered. I really would have been fine with him not calling me ma’am, but his southern roots came into play which was refreshing. He calls his dad ‘Big Daddy’ and it’s evident that Fynnton looks up to his parents and has a lot to look forward to.

You seem to have no problem being in front of the camera. Have you always been super outgoing?

Yes, ma’am! My Mommy and Big Daddy are so fun and we go to a LOT of parties…they take me almost everywhere! I try to meet 5 new people everywhere we go and ask them questions and get to know them. Big Daddy and Mommy tell me that is so important to meet new people and talk to them and they are right. I have met some amazing folks. I DO love the camera too.

When did you express a desire to get into modeling and acting? What was your first gig?
My first days on earth were in front of the camera doing photo shoots, and now it is kind of my job I guess and I love it. Pretending to be someone else and posing is so much fun!

Are you currently taking acting classes?

Not at the moment. I honestly haven’t had time to between school and the projects I have been working on, but I hope to start very soon so I can be better and better.

You have a very cool sense of style. Do you have particular favorite looks? Your dad Kenn Gray also has great style… Does he give you tips?

I love clothes and I love to be a bit edgy. I even wear a lot of girl’s clothes because they fit better or have more interest. I wear them mixed with boy’s clothes though so it doesn’t look like I am wearing girl’s clothes, just being unique and different with edgy style. Big Daddy wear even crazier things than me sometimes! Yes, we talk about fashion a lot…he loves it and I love coming up with different looks with him.

Tell me what you are currently working on?

I just finished an amazing movie called “Pink Elephant”, Produced by Bright Child Media, directed by Bernardo Velazquez and Daniel Williams. I have a lot of other projects coming up soon that I am super excited about also. One of the most fun projects I did recently was Michael Buble’s newest music video directed by Derek Hough. SO fun!

I also recently got to record with Rick Springfield on his latest single. It was my first time in a music studio and I am hooked! I am going to be performing the song with him at some of his concerts on the west coast soon! I also just starred in another music video for BP Major, directed by Serge Legrand which was super cool and all shot with green screens. I can’t wait to see the finished video! I also work with a bunch of clothing brands as their ‘face’ of the brand such as Disco Panda, and other products such as UGOwear. One of my favorite things to do is model on the runway. Big Daddy is the Art and Design Director for www.stylefashionweek.com so I get to walk the runway for many clothing designers in NYC, LA and Palm Springs fashion week events!

I know you appeared in a film called “Pearl”. Can you describe that experience as well as working with Brandon Jameson.

Pearl was so fun for me! I got to work with the most wonderful cast including Catherine Roberts, Paige Collings, Ariel Benjamin, and so many others. Big Daddy Art Directed the film too so it was fun being on set having the opportunity to see how he created the sets. Brandon Jameson is like a second father to me after this experience. He was so amazing and this film is so beautiful! I can’t wait for everyone to see it on July 22nd when it premieres at the La Jolla International Fashion Film Festival, which is a premier fashion film festival! It has been nominated for ‘Best Picture’, ‘Best Director’, Catherine is nominated for ‘Best Actress’, ‘Best Costume Design’, ‘Best Fashion’, ‘Best Narration’, Best Hairstyling’, ‘Best Music’, and ‘Best Jewelry’. Amazing!

Tell me a bit about your recurring role with James Corden. He seems like a blast to work with.

James is the best! Myself and some other cool kiddos pretend to be judges and give our opinions and finally a verdict on court cases. It is so fun and so funny. You wouldn’t believe some of the things I and the other kids say.

How do you juggle it all? Your parents seem very supportive Well, it’s very busy for sure, but we somehow make it all work.Fynnton Gray

I host red carpets, work on movies and TV shows, commercials and music, and somehow find time to do my schoolwork, which I love. Mommy and Big Daddy are amazing! They manage to juggle it all along with their busy schedules. Big Daddy is involved in so many projects himself all the time it would make your head spin. My agents at Abrams Artists Agency (Jeremy Apody) and LA Models (Tracy Dwyer) really are wonderful about making sure I am doing the right projects and having fun doing them!

What do you do for fun?

I LOVE swimming in my pool and spending time with my friends. I also am about to launch my YouTube channel that will be giving everyone a real glimpse into all the things I love to do! I also love being involved in my community too. Big Daddy and Mommy have taught me to always try to be involved and give back. I always ask for toys for my birthday to donate to salvation army or toys for tots. I also work with an organization called www.christophersclubhouse.org , which is an organization helping to teach kids safety and how to avoid being abducted or hurt by other people. The Hard Rock Cafe in Palm Springs has an initiative where they choose celebrities and notables and create a special hamburger named after them and 100% of the proceeds are donated to their charity of choice. So cool! I am doing this in August to benefit Christophers Clubhouse and am creating mini burgers which we are calling ‘Fynnie Burgers’! :)))

If there is one celebrity you could work with (or tv personality), who would it be?

I love all the kids on the Disney channel of course but I would LOVE to meet and work with Taylor Swift. I love her. I am pretty sure she will marry me.

How inspiring is Fynnton! I feel he has such a bright future ahead of him. He genuinely seems to enjoy what he is doing and it definitely comes very naturally to him. Due to excellent parenting, he has also learned the importance of giving back at an early age. To follow him and his exciting projects:
