Paris Bravo Silver Modeling

Paris Bravo is one outstanding young lady! We had the pleasure of interviewing her on her exciting role alongside Nicolas Cage and Frank Polente. Check out the interview below.

Hi, Paris! Thank you for granting the interview. Your career is on the rise and we’re excited to speak with you about. You play Young Julie in Between Worlds with Nicolas Cage and Franks Polente. You’re Zooey with Alicia Silverstone, Rob Corddry, and Haley Joe Osment in Judy Small, a film coming to theaters in 2019. What’s truly amazing is your stuntwork. You have performed stunt work on Vindicta and Resurgence. What do you enjoy most about acting?

Between Worlds is a psychological thriller- where  Franka drowns as a child and in the water comes back to life. She realizes that she can get choked out almost to the brink of death and walk with the “almost dead’ and guide them back to the living. Nicolas Cage played a truck driver that lost his family in a fire. He meets up with Franka “Julie” and she shares her powers so that he can see his family again. There is a major surprise at the end…..his wife burned the house down to seek his attention off the road, but they died. Nicolas Cage/Joe got to see the truth of what really happened thru Julie’s powers.

I played young Julie, I had to go down 16 feet in water weighted down to be “drown” and then show the powers come inside of me; Young Julie It was scary down in the water for long periods of time. BUT it was a crazy stunt scene that I will never forget!

Judy Small is a fun movie about a couple seeks Judy Small, a marriage counselor, but the counselor is more than what meets the eye. I play Zooey the best friend of Louise (daughter of Susan who is Alicia Silverstone) This will be a super fun comedy for all to love. I had a great time on set and enjoyed learning from the director. By the way, Alicia Silverstone and Rob Coddry are so down to earth- they made me feel so confident on set. They are funny and normal human beings. There were no egos on set!

My Stunt work in Vindicta, Resurgence, Between Worlds, Disney’s Dream Big and Nickelodeon Be You campaigns is something that I have dreamed of doing. I never thought training in Tae Kwon Do earning my 2nd Degree Black Belt and earning my 1st Degree in Extreme Martial Arts would allow me to work in so many areas on TV and in Movies.

In Vindicta I play a daughter of a crime/mob type dad. My father gets killed right in front of me because – he killed her father. In Resurgence, I get to fight my abductors to get to my parents that are like CIA Agents. I was able to use fight choreography, tactical maneuvers using prop guns and take falls in this movie! My stunt team Brazen Action Design keeps me busy training and perfecting my craft.

What inspired you to become an actress?

When I was 3 years old. I was watching the Little Mermaid (Broadway version) on TV and jumped up on the coffee table and starting singing “Part of Your World” and knew right then I wanted to be an actress, singer, dancer. Funny enough at 4 my dad put me in Karate, I started competing. We move to LA to train with Mr. Mike Chat (Blue Power Ranger) of XMA and he helped me start the process of acting and submitting to auditions.

Let’s talk about the importance of branding yourself. What advice can you share with aspiring talent?

Being an actor/actress is hard work. You must study your lines, know the emotion that goes along with the scene. Sometimes re-doing the scenes literally 20 times until the Director says you can move one. Then do the same scene again from different angles. Acting is a job, not playtime. There will be long days and times you want to “be a kid”, but you are being paid to do a job. The director and production staff expect you to be a professional.

You must be hardworking, be able to be organized and focus. Distractions are not an option, but you still need to take time for family and friends. We only get this one life. Make it count!

As far as branding yourself…. just be yourself. In this industry, as a teen actor. I am a role model. I have to show and give positivity. I love to showcase my martial arts and other activities to show kids you can have more than one interest. It is important to be a well-rounded person. Stay consistent with your message and platform.

What has been your biggest challenge in the industry?

Not getting lost in the “NO’s”, What I mean by that is: You can go on 100 auditions and never book a job. There are a gazillion reasons you didn’t get it. Too tall, too short, didn’t look like the mom or dad, hair color and so on. It does not mean that you are not a great actor. It means you did not fit the specs that the client wanted. You must stay positive and be you. Don’t try to become someone else because of pics you see in magazines or social media. It’s ok to be you. The pressure is there to change everything about yourself.

What’s the ultimate direction of your career?

The ultimate direction or goal I have for my career is to be an award-winning actress that can do her own stunts. I enjoy playing a character with a lot of drama, but also like comedy as well. I would love to book an amazing role with my acting role models on a huge movie set on location somewhere. Acting is my passion and I am in hopes this my career for the rest of my life.

Tell us about an upcoming project that you’re really excited about.

I will be working on a commercial this weekend.  I am super excited to be working with my stunt team; Brazen Action Design on a few new projects and performing at events this year. I am in hopes that I can book a tv series or a movie. My agent and manager are always working hard to pitch me for new exciting projects.

Do you have a charitable organization you enjoy working with?

Several, actually! It is important to give back to my community and support organizations that have helped my family members.  I raise money, donate time and perform throughout the year for:

Talent for Epilepsy – American Heart Association – American Diabetes Association-

Olive Crest for Foster Children –Salvation Army -Saffyre Sanctuary & Operation Gratitude

When looking ahead on your career, what do you hope to achieve and why?

Looking ahead in my career, I want to be able to put my passion for acting to good use. I hope that I can affect change in subjects that can help teens like me. Tackle taboo subjects to arm people with knowledge and to volunteer. I hope to be a role model for kids to look up too. I hope to inspire someone to accomplish their dreams because I am!

On a personal note: I would like to earn a world title in NASKA Tae Kwon Do and I only have a year to go to earn my 3rd degree black belt. I hope one day to earn/win an Oscar for my acting. The ultimate honor in acting.

Who have been your biggest influences?

My day to day influences – besides my parents of course: My instructors: Mike Chat (Blue Power Ranger), Caitlin DeChelle (Stunt Double for Gal Gadot in Wonder Woman) Jesse Graffe, Michael Philip (Momma Mia) and my action Stunt Team Brazen Action Design. Such great role models, they believe in me, push me harder than ever physically and mentally!

Actors: Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp -Amazing actors that can transform themselves into any character- they just suck me into their movies and make me want to be a better actor!

If you had to do it all over again, would you still choose this career? Would you do anything differently?

If I had to do it over again, I would still become an actress. It has allowed me to travel, learn new things. Try new activities. Mentally push me and make me more organized. I love bringing the character on paper alive. Then to see the result on screen or on TV is so awesome.

If I was to do anything differently, I would have started much younger in the industry. I wish I could have started at 3 or 4 years old. We lived in Orlando, Florida at the time. There were no opportunities in Orlando that there are here in Los Angeles.
