Occhi Team

The team currently includes writers in Toronto, Minnesota, New Mexico, New Jersey, New York, and London. Anything related to art, we showcase it. DAVID EMMANUEL NOEL

David Emmanuel Noel is the Chief Editor of Occhi Magazine and Director of Occhi Arts & Entertainment. An avid blogger, film fanatic, art enthusiast, music lover, and theatergoer. He has been involved in several music events and art exhibitions at venues such as the Kennedy Center Washington DC, the Landmark Arts Building New York and Whole 9 Gallery Culver City, California.

As a multidisciplinary artist, curator and accredited public relations practitioner, he has worked closely with agencies such as the Royal Institute of British Architects, CAMBA ( the New York-based agency), the NSPCC, New York Mayor’s Office, and several London Boroughs on projects supporting the environmental and therapeutic benefits of the arts. He is based in London and New York.

ERICA HALL (Editor)

A screenwriter and producer, as well as an experienced art teacher. Erica has an interest in all facets of production and experience in a wide variety of roles,A Canadian. An art, music, and film enthusiast, who loves her life and, particularly, the creative people in it! She’s glad to be working with a talented and creative group of artists at Occhi.

DARRY YOKLEY (Creative Consultant)

Saxophonist Darryl Yokley came onto the New York scene in 2009 and has established himself as a unique voice with his playing and composing. Whether he is performing locally or internationally, he is always looking to communicate to audiences no matter what genre it is. Yokley has performed for music legend Quincy Jones as well playing with Motown legends The Four Tops, The Temptations, The O’ Jays and singer-songwriter Rhonda Ross.

He performs as a classical soloist and chamber music and leads his own jazz quartet, Sound Reformation, which is comprised of Zaccai Curtis on piano, Luques Curtis on bass, and Wayne Smith Jr. on drums. He has also worked with many great jazz musicians such as Orrin Evans, Nasheet Waits, Ralph Peterson, Jack Walrath, Frank Lacy, Valery Ponomarev, Eddie Allen, and Camille Gainer Jones to name a few.

TONY COLE (Creative Consultant)

Tony Cole is the proprietor of Cole’s Art Gallery, specialising in original art & collectibles. His extensive experience working with visual artists is matched with his interest in music and film; following his career as a producer and screenwriter. JOAN SCHWEIGHARDT

PAMELA MOORE

New Yorker to the bone. She’s always had a love of business, entertainment, writing, people, floral design/crafts, animals, and music.A woman of faith in God, and a well-traveled individual, she’s covered major events around the country.

FAITH ALEXIS

Faith is an artist based in the UK. Her interests include comics and graphic novels, music, film, and cinema, and most things sci-fi to name a few. “Art is a historical archiver and storyteller. I am intrigued by the power of art to influence and translate intellectual, political, and social discourse all while giving an expression for the soul.”

MARK VODERY

Mark Vodery was a Managing Editor of Occhi Magazine and Co-Founder of our parent company Occhi Arts & Entertainment LLC/LTD. Mark has now formally stepped away from his involvement with the company. A member of the National Association of Black Journalists, he studied Mass Communications at West Chester University. As an experienced session vocalist, he has toured the world and had several original works featured in film and television. Mark has been involved with several New York City projects including Feel the Music! and Make Music New York. An avid music lover, he takes pride in his extensive vinyl collection and spends his free time helping to facilitate service projects that benefit at-risk youth, through artistic philanthropy.
