Retaining a firm foundation in jazz, The LRK Trio ( pianist Evgeny Lebedev, bassist Anton Revnyukand, and drummer Ignat Kravtsov) organically combine elements of several music genres. Between 2017 and 2020, the trio became one of the most active jazz ensembles, touring Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, Estonia, Switzerland, the USA, Japan, Korea, Portugal, Germany, Norway, and the UK, plus performances at many Eastern European festivals and concert venues. Their music is represented by the Norwegian label Losen Records. In 2017, the album “If You Have a Dream” was named the “Jazz Album of the Year” by the Union of Music Critics and was included in the list of recommended recordings of the commonwealth of European jazz magazines.
The trio’s new album, titled “Prayer”, encourages reflection, self-examination, and an attempt to comprehend the events of recent history. This is a musical reflection on loneliness in the digital world, the complexity of choice, the contradictions that live in each of us, and the loss of landmarks. Only a look inside yourself can help you find these landmarks again, form personal beliefs, and teach you to distinguish them from judgments imposed from outside.
