From March 5–9, 2025, the Caribbean Fine Art Fair (CaFA Fair) celebrates its 15th edition in the vibrant setting of Barbados. Held at the dynamic and newly established Pelican House, the fair is beautifully framed by the historic charm of the Pelican Village Craft Center in the heart of Bridgetown. This year’s event proudly showcases the exceptional talent of artists across the Caribbean and its diaspora, promising an inspiring and unforgettable experience. Featured artists include Maxanne Rock.
Maxanne Rock is a visual artist based in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. He holds a Fine Arts degree from the Academia de Artes Plásticas Eduardo Abela in Havana, Cuba. With over twelve years of experience, his artwork encompasses both paintings and drawings. He creates paintings using various mediums, including acrylic, oil, and charcoal on canvas, while his drawings utilize graphite, charcoal, or colored pencils.
Maxanne’s passion lies in transforming his inner thoughts into masterpieces. His artistic style is dynamic and continually evolving, influenced by various art movements. His works can be found in St. Vincent, Barbados, the USA, and Italy.
He served as the principal artist for the mural displayed at the Coreas Distribution Limited Headquarters in Diamonds, which reflects the history of airports and air travel in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Additionally, Maxanne is an art teacher who inspires young people to appreciate art and express their creativity in all aspects of their lives. He finds joy in helping them develop and enhance their artistic skills for a brighter future.
Having loved art since childhood, Maxanne believes that “art says a thousand words” to those who appreciate its beauty.
