From the sun-bleached landscapes of Joshua Tree, California, emerges FireBug. Built on the dynamic partnership of vocalist Juliette Tworsey and guitarist Jules Shapiro, FireBug seamlessly blends the raw energy of modern rock with the swirling psychedelia of the ‘60s and ‘70s, weaving in strands of blues, folk, electronica, and the soulful roots of New Orleans.
.
At the heart of FireBug’s sound is Juliette Tworsey’s commanding voice—a fearless, emotive instrument often likened to the powerhouse deliveries of Grace Slick and Chrissie Hynde. Her presence is magnetic, both on record and on stage, where FireBug has earned a reputation for explosive live performances. From the indie stages of SXSW, CMJ, and NXNE to the legendary Sonisphere Festival at Knebworth and London’s iconic Dublin Castle, FireBug has ignited audiences around the globe.
Their journey has seen them share stages with musical icons: Iggy Pop, Iron Maiden, The Cult, Alice In Chains, Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine), and even ‘60s legend Donovan. Each performance and collaboration has helped FireBug build a devoted fan base that spans continents.

2024 has marked a new creative high for FireBug. Teaming up with two-time Grammy-winning producer Adrian Bushby (Foo Fighters), the band released the powerful single “Red, White and Blue,” a track that pulses with urgency and heart. Their momentum continued with a major sync placement—“Moment Of Joy” was selected for the upcoming Apple TV+ series Smoke, directed by Emmy Award-winner Dennis Lehane (The Wire, Blackbird). This recognition cements FireBug’s status as a band whose music resonates beyond the stage, capturing the imagination of new audiences.

FireBug’s latest single, “Time Marches On,” is a testament to their ever-evolving artistry. Produced by Jordan Lawlor (BECK, M83, DEFTONES), the song is a mesmerizing fusion of soulful vocals and atmospheric electronic rock. Juliette’s voice, haunting yet heartfelt, carries listeners through a dreamlike meditation on the relentless passage of time and the pull of nature. Jules Shapiro’s textured guitar work and pulsing rhythms create a soundscape that is both cinematic and raw, embodying FireBug’s signature desert noir aesthetic with a bold, modern edge. The release is accompanied by a visually striking music video that amplifies the song’s emotional impact.
For those eager to experience FireBug’s magic in person, the band will take the stage at Pappy and Harriet’s in Pioneertown, California, on July 17—a fitting venue for a band whose music is so deeply rooted in the spirit of the desert.
