We had the wonderful opportunity to chat with Chase. Check out the interview below.

Thank you for granting the interview, Chase! “Santa Stole Our Dog: A Merry Doggone Christmas” sounds like a family fun movie just in time for the Holidays. You play Tommy. Tell us about your character.

Tommy is a typical teenage boy who is pretty upset that his parents are getting a divorce. Tommy doesn’t believe in Santa and finds it super frustrating that little sister Susie does. He is excited when he gets to adopt a dog for Christmas until Santa accidentally steals the family dog!

You’re starring alongside legendary actor Ed Asner, who plays Santa! Did he share any great industry tips with you?

It was such an honor to work with him. He was absolutely hilarious! Probably the biggest tip he shared with me was being in the moment when filming a scene. Truly becoming the character. Sometimes that’s hard to do but it gave me a new perspective when on set.

What can the audience expect from the movie?

It is a true family Christmas movie, with lots of laughter, fun characters, it’s a feel-good movie!

Chase PollackWhat do you enjoy most about playing Tommy?

Obviously, it wasn’t too much of a stretch of playing a sarcastic teenage boy! But honestly, it was the ability to share scenes with Ed Asner. It’s not often you get to do that with such an icon! The rest of the cast and crew were also fantastic and became like a second family!

You’re also starring in a short film called “Mount Liptak.” Tell us about the film and your character.

Mount Liptak is based on the true story Lester Liptak and the many underaged servicemen in World War II. I play the lead role of Lester and it shows the series of events that leads him to enlist underaged in World War II. It is a fascinating story and one that so many in the US are not even aware of.

Is there a role in your career that you would love to play?

There isn’t a role specifically, however, I do love to play dramatic roles. I enjoy the challenge of pushing my limits and growing as an actor.

What do you like to do when you’re not filming?

I love to hang out with my family and friends. I like video games, supporting my school sports teams and working out at the gym.

Is there anything you would like to add that we haven’t asked?

I would just like to thank you for the opportunity to interview with you!
