Vertigo Releasing, in partnership with Wildcard Distribution, has announced the UK digital release of the highly anticipated crime thriller, Amongst The Wolves. The latest film from acclaimed Irish director Mark O’Connor will be available across all major digital platforms from 2nd June.

O’Connor, renowned for his raw and authentic storytelling in films such as Cardboard Gangsters and King of the Travellers, once again delves into the gritty realities of organised crime. Amongst The Wolves offers an unflinching exploration of fractured loyalties and the harsh underbelly of Dublin’s criminal world.

The film boasts a powerful cast led by Golden Globe® nominee Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones, Kin, Love/Hate), alongside Luke McQuillan (Darklands, Game of Thrones), Jade Jordan (i), Louise Bourke (Let The Wrong One In), Helen Behan (This is England), and rising talent Daniel Fee.

Co-written by O’Connor and McQuillan, the story centres on Danny, a homeless veteran struggling with the trauma of his past military service in Afghanistan. Living on the streets of Dublin, Danny’s world shifts when he crosses paths with Will, a teenager fleeing a dangerous drug gang. Despite his own inner battles, Danny becomes a reluctant protector for Will, forging a fragile but meaningful connection. As the menacing gang leader Power and his crew close in, Danny must face his own demons to safeguard the boy who has come to depend on him.

Produced by Bread and Circus Productions and Stalker Films, Amongst The Wolves had its UK premiere at the Manchester Film Festival this March. The festival holds special significance for O’Connor, whose previous film Cardboard Gangsters received multiple accolades there, including Best Feature Film.

Amongst The Wolves offers a gripping cinematic experience—equal parts tense, emotional, and profoundly human. Don’t miss its digital release this June.
