Check out recording artist POLUN’s latest track titled, “Takes Me Over,” which is a song that captures the inexplicable feelings of being spellbound to love. This song ultimately reflects on the all-consuming emotions that take over with the realization that against better judgment, you’ve given everything to someone whose heart isn’t in it anymore. It’s a dark, energetic dance-pop tune contrasted with an emotionally beautiful yet powerful vocal performance by his friend and long-time collaborator Anthony Arthur. This is the third single from his upcoming debut EP, Trillium.
The track has a special place in his heart; It was one of the first songs I made with Anthony (co-written with Jocelyn Alice) and, over six years, is the longest time he’s spent working on a song.
