Thank you for granting the interview, Ozie “ZMNY” Nzeribe! What inspired you to start rapping?
I’ve always been in love with music since I was about 6 or 7 years old. I loved rapping other artist’s songs and when I turned about 11, I started writing my own music. It was then, I told my mom this is what I wanted to do.
You strive and work very hard on your career. What keeps you motivated?
Knowing all of the wonderful and amazing things I have done and will continue to do and accomplish along the way.
Do you use life experiences in your lyrics? Tell us about your music!
Yes! I use many messages in my lyrics, such as parties, education, having fun, and most importantly, supporting the less unfortunate.
You’re looking forward to collaborating with a few artists. Anyone in particular?
Yes! Top 6 would have to be Ayo and Teo, Chance The Rapper, Kahlid, Lil Uzi Vert, Logic, and Cardi B.
You’re also interested in acting. What role would you like to play?
I definitely see myself playing in a comedy role. Although I can play pretty much any role that is given to me, comedy, drama, action. I’m comfortable with all! Most of all, I would love to work on a show on Nickelodeon or Disney Channel.
Is there anything you would like to add that we haven’t asked?
I want to let everyone know that my music is tasteful, different, well written, and is for all ages. I can’t wait for the whole world to hear it and see me make the jump to my other love, acting.
