Described by The Guardian as “key-shattering Boogie Woogie,” Ben Waters is a force of nature on the piano, known for electrifying performances and masterful renditions of early boogie-woogie and rock ‘n’ roll. Waters’ musical journey is rooted in pure passion—he plays the songs of his heroes, including Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis, Amos Milburn, Little Richard, Ian Stewart, and a host of other legendary pianists. For Ben, it’s all about the music that makes him happiest.
.
This dedication to his craft is what led Ben to leave school and hit the road with Shakin’ Stevens, marking the start of a remarkable 35-year career spent touring the globe. His devotion isn’t about chasing fame or fortune—it’s about honoring the music and getting it right. Ironically, this very authenticity has brought him into collaboration with some of the industry’s biggest names, including Jools Holland, Cher, The Rolling Stones, Jeff Beck, Chuck Berry, Imelda May, Mick Hucknall, Johnny Depp, Jerry Lee Lewis, and many more.
This Wednesday, June 25th, Ben Waters will take the stage alongside The Geoff Garbow Blues Band at the Quintin Hogg Memorial Sports Ground in Chiswick, London (W4 3AN), with the event kicking off at 7:00 pm. Presented by The Ealing Club Community Interest Company (CIC), the evening promises a celebration of live music, energy, and the enduring spirit of rhythm and blues.

Occhi Arts and Entertainment is proud to support The Ealing Club CIC, a nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating the London Borough’s rich musical heritage. The Ealing Club is forever remembered as the birthplace of British rhythm and blues and the launchpad for The Rolling Stones. Throughout 1962, the Stones honed their craft at the Ealing Blues Club, eventually forming the legendary lineup of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Brian Jones, Bill Wyman, Ian Stewart, and Charlie Watts, and performing together for the first time in January 1963.
.
As the home of Alexis Korner’s Blues Incorporated, the Ealing Club paved the way for future icons like Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, Eric Clapton, Eric Burdon, Manfred Mann, Rod Stewart, The Who, and many more. Its storied history was recently brought to life in the acclaimed documentary Suburban Steps To Rockland – The Story of the Ealing Club.
Whether you’re a lifelong blues fan or new to the scene, don’t miss this opportunity to witness Ben Waters—one of the world’s most passionate boogie-woogie pianists—honoring the legacy of British rhythm and blues in the very place where it all began.
