Tucked into 81 acres of historic gardens and woodlands in Katonah, New York, the beloved cultural destination is set to welcome audiences back for its highly anticipated Summer Season, running from June 20 through August 2, 2026. With more than 30 performances across six weeks, Caramoor once again invites visitors to step into a rare kind of experience: where music lives in the landscape, where art feels close enough to touch, and where an evening out can turn into something restorative.

Once the private home of music and art devotees Walter and Lucie Rosen, Caramoor has grown into one of the region’s most distinctive sanctuaries for live performance, cultural discovery, and quiet escape. The estate itself is part of the program—an environment that encourages you to arrive early, wander, breathe, and stay a little longer. During the Summer Season, the entire property is activated with sound, as performances unfold across five unique settings: the Venetian Theater, Spanish Courtyard, Friends Field, Sunken Garden, and the intimate Music Room—each offering its own atmosphere, acoustics, and sense of occasion.

For Caramoor Vice President and Artistic Director Kathy Schuman, that setting is more than a backdrop—it’s a creative compass.

“The unique Caramoor setting continues to inspire and inform our programs, from world-class celebrated artists to rising stars, in a multitude of genres,” Schuman shares. “As part of each season we strive to bring one-of-a kind programs such as this year’s Baroque opera performances by Les Arts Florissants and Philharmonia Baroque, the world premiere of a concert-length work by Christopher Cerrone, and one of the first performances of a new collaboration between Yuja Wang and People of Earth. We pride ourselves on the breadth and diversity of the musical experiences we bring to new and returning visitors each summer.”

That breadth is exactly what makes Caramoor feel so essential: a place where tradition and surprise coexist, where classical excellence meets contemporary imagination, and where the estate’s natural beauty amplifies every note.

The season opens in true Caramoor style—with glamour, warmth, and a voice built for the spotlight.

The Opening Night & Summer Gala is an evening with Kelli O’Hara and the Orchestra of St. Luke’s. This takes place on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 7:00pm in the Venetian Theater, launching Caramoor’s 81st season with one of Broadway’s most celebrated performers. The event is conducted by Rob Fisher, with Dan Lipton serving as music director. Expect an evening designed to sweep audiences off their feet—an elegant program spanning American Songbook classics, Broadway favorites, and timeless pop standards, delivered with the kind of clarity and emotional intelligence that has made O’Hara a defining voice of her generation.

Beyond the stage, O’Hara’s star continues to rise across film, television, and theatre. She can currently be seen on HBO’s The Gilded Age—nominated for a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series—as well as on the CBS series Sheriff Country. She recently starred opposite Tom Hanks in the world premiere of the Off-Broadway play This World of Tomorrow, and is currently appearing on Broadway in the revival of Fallen Angels opposite Rose Byrne.

Tickets are available for purchase online at caramoor.org; by phone at 914.232.1252 Tuesdays through Fridays from 10:00am to 4:00pm; and on site from the Box Office two hours before each performance.

Caramoor is located at 149 Girdle Ridge Road in Katonah, NY and open daily from 10:00am to 4:00pm for free exploration.
