CasildART is proud to present Roots to Routes a vibrant group art exhibition featuring artists from the UK, Africa, and the Caribbean. Roots 2 Routes is a vibrant group art show exploring journeys towards cultural expression. The exhibition opens on 12th December at the Kravitz Contemporary Gallery in Soho Square, London.

The showcase will be led by British Jamaican abstract expressionist painter, Anthony Daley and mixed media artist GA Gardner, who hails from Trinidad. Both are internationally acclaimed artists who have exhibited widely across Europe and the US.

Roots to Routs is also pleased to present emerging talents from Nigeria, Dammy Adewole, Quazeem Animashaun and Damola Adeyemo alongside British female artists, Patricia Bugembe and ceramicist, Denise Williams.

Roots 2 Routes articulates narratives drawn from the artists’ unique experiences and delves into themes including migration, ancestorship and cultural symbolism. Across an eclectic and diverse mix of visual styles from prints to paintings and digital art to sculpture, the viewer is given access to experience the artists’ inner worlds, values, sense of community and the spiritual beliefs that are deeply rooted in their culture.

Sukai Eccleston, exhibition Curator and Founder and Director at CasildART said, ‘This exhibition focuses on creating relationships between the works to open up conversations about materiality, symbolism and the process of art making. It invites the viewer to leave their mind open and look at the world differently to both inspire and foster cross-cultural and intergenerational understanding of the beauty and complexity of life’s journeys.’

All the works are available for sale with profits reinvested to raise awareness and visibility of contemporary African and African diaspora art and to support Black artists to have sustainable careers though art exhibitions, mentorship and training.

Roots 2 Routes is on view until 18th December at Kravitz Contemporary Gallery , 17 Soho Square, London W1D 3QJ. Entry is free. For further information visit the following link
