Since its inception a decade ago, the Jazz & World Music Festival has become a cornerstone event in Ghana, uniting jazz enthusiasts and celebrated musicians from around the globe. Held annually in the nation’s capital, the festival has firmly established itself as a highlight on Ghana’s jazz calendar, celebrating the vibrant culture of live music.
This year marks the festival’s 10th anniversary, with Kenyan trumpeter Christine Kamau headlining on April 26, 2025, at the prestigious Alliance Française in Accra. Sponsored by the renowned European bank Société Générale, the festival will run from April 23 to April 26, 2025, and promises an electrifying lineup of performances. Attendees can look forward to a mix of local Ghanaian talent and international stars, including Wiyaala (Ghana), Victor Dey (Ghana), Band FRA! (Ghana), Alune Wade (Senegal), and Thomas Dobler (Switzerland), among others. Cultural showcases and unforgettable musical moments will further enrich the experience.
Christine Kamau expressed her excitement about the event:
