At just 17, Chayne is carving out a space all her own in the alt-pop world, blending a dark, edgy sound with flashes of indie glam rock. Her music is bold, cinematic, and instantly recognizable—a reflection of her cross-cultural roots and fearless originality.

Born in England and raised near the vibrant city of Perpignan in Southern France, Chayne’s upbringing has been a tapestry of cultures and languages. Perfectly bilingual in French and English, she weaves this richness into her artistry, giving her songs a worldly perspective and a subtle, poetic edge.

Since 2020, Chayne has been channeling her creative energy into writing and recording original music in her family’s home studio. Balancing full-time studies with her musical ambitions, she’s already developed a sound marked by striking emotional depth and raw authenticity—qualities that set her apart from her peers.

A key collaborator in her journey is producer Paul Thomson. Together, they’ve cultivated a creative partnership that thrives on contrast and chemistry, infusing Chayne’s work with dynamic energy. “This song came from a two-chord tune we came up with,” Chayne shares. “It’s been a bit of a thing for us to write a complete song with only two chords – it’s really hard!”

That creative challenge led to her latest single, “It’s Gone, He’s Gone.” The track is a bold, sardonic celebration of liberation after a toxic relationship. Built on a minimalist two-chord motif reminiscent of classic French cinema like Betty Blue and Jean de Florette, the song’s cinematic soundscape is the perfect backdrop for Chayne’s nonchalant, empowering lyrics.

“I hear weird stories about what people put up with and I’m amazed how crap they feel,” she explains. “I just wanted to be as nonchalant and sardonic as I would like to be after a break-up! Really, I’d hope that this song might make people think they can see the positives in a break-up. It may not feel like it, but it’s probably for the best—so be strong and celebrate!”

“It’s Gone, He’s Gone” is the lead single from Chayne’s upcoming debut album—a genre-bending collection that effortlessly traverses pure pop, stadium rock, industrial intensity, minimalist electro, and everything in between. With her fearless approach and cinematic flair, Chayne is poised to become a compelling new voice in alt-pop, inspiring listeners to embrace their strength and celebrate every chapter.
