In March 2016, Denzel Curry released his powerful “Imperial” mixtape exclusively to SoundCloud, securing his position on the 2016 XXL Freshman magazine cover. Despite its immense popularity of the mixtape (17-million plays), Denzel never officially released “Imperial.” Now, with the news that he’s signed a distribution deal with indie label, Loma Vista, the Carol City, Florida rapper has re-released the project with two new songs, dropped a new video “Zenith” feat. Joey Bada$$, and announced a US Tour (see below).
Denzel’s deal with Loma Vista, home to Little Dragon and St. Vincent, will allow him to retain creative control of all future releases and ownership of all his masters while the label powers his vision. Watch his latest video, “Zenith.”
