Her parents supported her singing, playing the violin and piano, and fueling her enthusiasm for drama, all of which consequently led to her completing a degree in opera singing. Taking listeners on a whimsical leftfield-pop journey with her complex harmonies and imaginative storytelling lyricism, Buckle sings about topics covering everything from romance and broken hearts to disgruntled mermaids, lonely whales, and alien invasions. We recently covered Ebony Buckle’s new release titled ‘Ghost’ before the official release of the video. The song reflects the heart-wrenching experience Ebony and her husband Nick endured during their fight to renew her visa after their marriage. Despite her specific experience, Ghost remains a universal song of love, loss, commitment, and pain of feeling utterly helpless. The track, written over Skype calls between the separated newlyweds, now has an official video.
