Tendergold Gallery

Marisa’s latest exhibition, titled “Momentary Captivation” is on display in the Tendergold Gallery at the International Art Museum of America.

Her sources of inspiration stem from the unending flood of street fashion and the limitless combinations of colors, texts, and imagery she observes. Working at an art gallery in downtown San Francisco,  Marisa captures snapshots of impermanent outfits on the streets and transforms them into permanent archival works of art destined for galleries.

The exhibition started Dec 2 and runs until December 28th  but due to the increase in COVID-19 cases, and accordance with state and city health and safety directives, the International Art Museum of America is temporarily closed to the public. However, we are pleased to tell you the museum filmed the show and is currently finalizing the virtual tour. Watch this space!

Tendergold Gallery was first introduced to IAMA in early 2018. The name pays homage to our ever-so-funky neighboring Tenderloin District. While it can undeniably be seen as dark and gritty, it also hosts some of San Francisco’s most exciting underground art scenes and nightlife. Tendergold celebrates this by bringing art to the light of day from emerging artists, both internationally and from the Bay Area. All exhibitions are normally open to the public and no admission is required. Please visit the museum website and social media pages for online events, new content, and reopening updates.
