Some have described Deborah as Impressionistic or Village Naive. Her paintings embody a touch of whimsy and reflect her unique world vision. She finds beauty in everyday subjects and often explores themes of an idealized village life. Her experiences of living and traveling internationally, along with her current residence in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, have significantly influenced her work.
Deborah is a Fine Art graduate from the University of California, and her work is part of the university’s permanent archives. Recently, her pieces have also been acquired by the Marquam Art Collection at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU). She has exhibited her art in both California and Oregon, and her work continues to be showcased in various hospitality settings, including Kaiser Hospitals in Oregon, Vancouver Clinics in Washington, and OHSU, as well as in private residences. Additionally, her art is featured in retail environments such as Anthropologie and Amazon Fire TV in the UK. Her pieces are sold internationally as puzzles, prints, and reproductions.
With a continually growing portfolio, Deborah’s artwork encompasses a wide range of subjects, including antique urban scenes, lush gardens, landscapes, unique still life, and dream imagery, which many viewers find uplifting in today’s tumultuous world.
The show runs until April 20th. Visit the Occhi Contemporary Art website.
