Lee Pace Feeds Pandas

Julliard trained actor, Lee Pace, has played roles from heroes to villains. His ability to transcend each character he portrays is remarkable, but often not recognized in interviews with mainstream publications. When his dedicated Italian fans reached out to me and requested I write a feature on Lee Pace, admittedly, I was surprised and humbled by their request. I just didn’t think I could do the article justice. Covering someone who has such a prolific career can be a challenge. However, I was up for the task. I grabbed a glass of my favorite wine and started writing about some of the wondrous projects Lee was involved in.

Lee Grinner Pace was born on March 25, 1979. He has hit the ground running ever since. The roles he chooses to play is an eclectic range of the “guy next door” (Pushing Daisies) to the supervillain, Ronin the Accuser (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. I). Whatever role Lee Pace chooses to play you know it is going to be good. He’s particular about the projects he participates in, which is a good thing because it shows how important it is for him to play a character with dignity and accuracy.

Let’s take a look at some of his best roles to date. In “Soldier’s Girl, a 2003 docudrama, Lee plays a transsexual woman named Calpernia Addams. In 2006, he played Red Bandit/Roy Walker. In 2014, Lee starred as protagonist Joe MacMillan in AMC’s Halt and Catch Fire. Currently, he’s on Broadway playing Joe Pitt in Angels in America. Get your tickets today!

As someone who works in the industry, I know the importance of a fan base and how critical it is to play roles that resonate with them. This is what Lee Pace does well. Recently, he played Bo, a U.S. soldier battling an alien assault, in the sci-fi/drama REVOLT. His fans were thrilled to see him in his first action role. Needless to say, Lee Pace enjoys mastering any role he plays, so Bo was an instant hit with his fans. In the industry, he’s well known for his professionalism and attention to detail. Lee loves making sure the aesthetics of any character he plays is portrayed well. His fan base is absolutely fantastic, and he takes time to acknowledge and thank them for their support. A good actor knows the importance of having a solid fan base. The fact that he nurtures his base is impressive. That’s a sign of good character, demeanor, and a compassionate heart.

I’ve had the pleasure of working directly with actors. What many don’t understand is the true sacrifice they make to entertain you. They love what they do. It is their passion to do what they love. It’s important for people to hold the highest respect for their work, even if they play a role that doesn’t resonate with everyone. What makes Lee Pace a breakout star is his humility and passion for doing good work in his career and personal pursuits, such as his work with Conservation International on topics critical to the protection of Earth.

As an editor, I believe it’s my responsibility to cover an actor’s work with truth, integrity, and accuracy. It’s a pleasure to cover someone who has continuously shown that his love extends beyond what he does in his career. In 2017, Lee Pace received an invitation from the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in southwest China’s Sichuan Province and the American nonprofit Conservation International to visit the reserve. He joined a giant panda nursing and welfare course and helped feed the pandas.

Lee Pace turns 39 on March 25th. He’s showing no signs of slowing down. As he progresses in his career, I expect to see him in several amazing projects. Make sure you visit him on Twitter and Instagram to wish him the best on his special day!

Thank you for reading and thank you Lee Pace Italy for requesting the feature!
