Hi, Kill Them With Colour (KTWC)! Thank you for granting the interview. It is a pleasure to speak with you about your latest single “Coastal.” What inspired the song.

Absolutely, thanks for having me! “Coastal” is about the in-between feeling you get in a long distance relationship, both geographically and emotionally. Although the miles make the relationship confusing and difficult to navigate, when you miss someone that bad it’s still worth it.

Kill Them With ColourWhat is it about this single that is a must-listen?

It’s a fun and chill track. But be sure to check out the whole EP Coastal as well though. It’s a mix of different stuff that I think people will like!

What should the audience expect?

There’s a bit of everything – chill, house, summer feels, rap and island-inspired sounds.

What has the feedback been, thus far?

The feedback has been great! I have people reach out and tell me they’re enjoying the single and EP, so I think it’s going pretty well. I’m onto the next project though 😉

What has been your biggest takeaway in your career, thus far?

Honestly, getting to produce music and play it out. It was always a dream of mine and I just kept at it. Persistence and passion is key.

How important is it for an artist to expand their portfolio?

I think in any medium, expansion serves as a tool for knowledge. It only helps you grow. If all else fails, produce one genre forever.

If you could choose a song to produce, what would it be and why?

Deep in the Jungle, with people we’ve never heard of and sounds we don’t know.

Thus far, what has been the best experience working in the industry?

It was pretty cool to produce a song for fun with a friend (singer-songwriter, Kapri) and get nominated the next year for a Juno award. It was a bit surreal because when you’re making music you never think about stuff like that, you just hope people will like it.

Do you have any upcoming projects that we haven’t mentioned?

Yes!  An album is in the works 😉

Complete this sentence, if I had an opportunity to do anything I want, I would do ___________.

I’d build a time machine just so I could hear every type of music that has or will ever exist.

Then I’d have a party in a coliseum but the entire thing would be built out of bass bins (subwoofers).
