Fresh off supporting labelmate Jorja Smith’s North American tour, check out Irish singer-songwriter-producer Maverick Sabre’s fifth studio album, Burn The Right Things Down, out now on all digital streaming platforms via FAMM – Listen here.

The expanded 2-disc set consists of four demo tracks as well as eight songs recorded live at West London’s legendary Metropolis Studios – where Sabre recorded the LP in a single take pressed live to vinyl in front of an intimate audience, capturing the magic in real-time. Co-produced by Zach Nahome (Bakar, Biig Piig, PinkPantheress), Burn The Right Things Down emerged from a deep sense of urgency—a brush with existentialism that explores the delicate balance between the finite and the eternal woven into sound.

Burn The Right Things Down is an artistic exploration that embraces the idea that tomorrow isn’t guaranteed, urging a release of self-imposed fears and a commitment to creating what is raw and honest. Bolstered by the singles “Roses Ether,” “If I Could Only Love You Again,” and “Lay Down On Me,” each setting the tone for a project that stands apart from anything Mav has done before.

Sonically and visually, the album straddles two contrasting worlds: one bathed in vivid, dreamlike sequences and the other starkly portrayed through a black-and-white lens, reflecting life’s harsher truths. At the album’s heart, several vital elements emerge as central characters: the raw, evocative presence of searing guitar riffs and the intimate, ongoing dialogue Mav holds within himself. A profound sense of spirituality runs through the fabric of the project, mirroring a personal odyssey, a quest ignited by the dawning awareness of time’s impermanence. This realisation of life’s fleeting nature has become the album’s pulse, with each track reflecting Mav’s inner questions, spiritual searching, and evolving consciousness.
