The talented Idoma singer’s sound embodies a blend of Reggae, R&B/Soul, and Afro music, coupled with a unique vocal texture and delivery – infusing it with messages of love, compassion, self-awareness, and belonging.

Fresh off the success of “Lego,” a dancefloor hit showcasing Winny’s artistic talent, this new body of work further highlights her ability to create music that resonates with diverse cultures and age groups worldwide. This accomplishment is a testament to Winny’s determination to break boundaries in the industry and build a lasting community of supporters through her unmatched authenticity. Documenting her experiences in her twenties, Winny explores the complexities of relationships, womanhood, and the spontaneity of love in life. Known for her genre-bending sound that blends elements of reggae, R&B, soul, and Afro music, “Commercial Break” serves as an honest and candid memoir, featuring impressive collaborations with Projexx and Thutmose.

Discussing the EP, Winny explains, “My new project ‘Commercial Break’ is used as a metaphor.  Each song represents fleeting moments of love, like commercial breaks in life where love interrupts the everyday routine. Love can come from unexpected connections and can be presented as spontaneous, catching people off guard in the middle of life’s “programming” much like a commercial break offering relief, a temporary escape from pain similar to a break during a tense show. Each track symbolizes different stages or perspectives of love just like switching between channels from passion to distance, excitement to calmness capturing the idea that some loves are temporary, brief in the commercial breaks of life leaving a lasting impact even if they are short-lived.”
