Victoria Staff was born and raised in Toronto. As a young person struggling with anxiety, she used music to cope and communicate with family, friends, teachers, and therapists. Over time, her love for music grew into a passion, leading her to pursue a career as an indie-pop artist. In 2023, she released her debut EP, “Records & Honesty,” under the guidance of Canadian music producer Dan Hosh. Despite the serious themes in her music, she maintains a lighthearted personality on stage, on social media, and with her peers. Staff continues to engage with her audience through her written word, and her latest music focuses on storytelling and connecting with her fans.
Check out her latest offering, titled “Better.” Discussing the track, the artist shares, ‘When I wrote this song, I was really struggling and I was mad about it. I had worked so hard and so long to be in a “better place,” but it really felt in vain. “Am I not better?” It really means, “I thought I was better than this, I feel like I should be better than this.”
