Osamu Kobayashi’s Clown II (2024), oil on canvas, 36x31cm

The artist is making his debut at BEERS London with the exhibition, ‘Lost Stranger’, showcasing his distinctive fluid, bold style, and rich colors to UK audiences. Kobayashi’s technically complex works are characterized by emotive, undulating forms that appear to ebb and flow in space, practically pulsating off the canvas. Although these “emotional landscapes” are meant to provoke playful, slow revelations for the viewer, each firmly rooted in complex human emotions, the artist suggests that they are personified – each painting is like a character in a larger story. The show which opened on October 18th, runs until November 23rd. For further information on the artist and gallery, please visit the BEERS website.
