The film, directed by Ruckus Skye and Lane Skye, features a supporting cast of some familiar faces, including The Walking Dead’s Jayson Warner Smith and Ozark’s Adam Boyer, but this isn’t enough to inject life into an uneven storyline and production that lacks energy, pace, and an excitement. Unfortunately, there’s a lack of engagement and character development, which only leaves you intrigued enough to know if the plot will improve if you keep watching. Fortunately, despite the end being unclear, the film is watchable enough to see the outcome.
The Devil to Pay is in Drive-in theaters from October 2 and On-Demand and DVD release October 6 via Uncork’d Entertainment and Dark Star Pictures.
