This year’s FrightFest is set to welcome a gripping new addition to its celebrated lineup with the international premiere of “The Rows” on August 25th. The film draws inspiration from genre classics such as “No Country for Old Men,” “The Strangers,” and “The Town That Dreaded Sundown,” delivering a minimalist, dialogue-light experience that heightens the tension at every turn.
The story follows seven-year-old Lucy, who awakens alone in a sprawling, enigmatic cornfield with a bloody head wound and no memory of how she arrived. Her desperate search for answers quickly turns into a deadly game of survival when she discovers a body, an abandoned gun, and three masked killers on her trail. As night falls and the danger escalates, Lucy must navigate the labyrinthine rows, aided only by her loyal family dog and a mysterious golden creature lurking within the corn.
