IMUR has an intuitive relationship with music, melody, and lyrics. Their ability to pair song to sentiment comes naturally, making it easy for listeners to be absorbed into their music. IMUR’s latest track titled, “Sad Girls Club” does just that, as it explores self-deprecation, unworthiness, and being burdensome. The single is about the trickery our subconscious mind plays on us when we’re feeling low. The band captures the universal emotions during the lockdown. As it seemed the world grounded to a halt during the first month of quarantine, a lot of our demons came to visit. This track was the band’s breakthrough from writers’ block, tangibly expressing their fears and enabling them to move beyond the perceived challenges.  There is a palpable, undeniable vulnerability to this song, delivered in with breezy harmonious tempo that doesn’t disappoint.
