Nia Kay’s summer buzzworthy single “Real” featuring Asian Doll, has set the stage for what’s to come. The track’s success is reflected in Kay’s social following, which illustrates her status as a young, celebrated influencer. Kay rose out of the ranks as an early participant with the legendary producer Jermaine Dupri and rap icon Queen Latifah’s The Rap Game- Season 2. It wasn’t hard to see that Nia Kay was destined for great things. Her focus and readiness were evident with every episode, as well as her ability to freestyle and memorize her tracks. “I never messed up one lyric on the show,” she remembers. The exposure Nia gained from The Rap Game helped her reach her next set of goals, including a spot on the So So Def Summer ’17 Tour.
The young entrepreneur continued to soar at the age of 16 when the rapper began collaborating with fellow Chicago titan like Dreezy as well as getting cosigns from Cardi B. With success, there were also downfalls within the business however that didn’t distract Kay to continue her upward trajectory. Nia decided to sign a new joint venture with Smash Town Records and is ready to take on the world by storm. As a young entrepreneur, her company Tha Branch is also embedded within philanthropy and activism, as well as the partner with her Smash Town Records deal.
Kay now coming into her own has now launched a new fresh look and it is paying off as the elevation has landed her in the Photo Of the Day at Vogue Italia.

Female rap is truly in its prime right now and I’m so excited to experience such a thing. Nia Kay is hands-down one of the most promising forces in the female rap game right now.”
The stage is now set for Nia Kay to make her impact, starting with her debut EP. Slated for the first single to drop from her forthcoming album on her 20th birthday (December 8th), the project which looks like will drop first quarter of 2022 is described by Nia as “elevated” from her previous music, with an obvious growth as she enters into young adulthood. While her new geotag is in Atlanta, Georgia, she still retains some of her hometown energy. “I incorporate some elements of Chicago into my style, but my music isn’t that typical Chicago aggression,” she expresses. The goal is to reach worldwide, and Nia is well on her way.
