Born and raised in Montréal to a Slovak mother and African American/Cuban father, Milan André Boronell spent 8 years living in Toronto while getting his bachelor of music degree at Humber College. Since then, the artist has lived a fairly nomadic life. Between 2016 and 2020 he has lived in Toronto, London, Bratislava, and Prague. In 2020, Milan released a 3 song EP titled ‘love&light’, produced by Kristofer Harris and Nathanael Graham of the UK. Milan and Harris met twice during the Covid-19 pandemic and together they produced his album, ‘500 days’.
The opening line from his new single Pain & Passion contemplates the fine line between endings and beginnings, separated by perspective. The track tells a story of expectation, disappointment, release, and freedom. The unfolding of life in ways we can never anticipate, but in ways, we need to experience in order to evolve towards living without attachment to the outcome. This is the third and final single before the November 5th release of Boronell’s new album, self-produced with support from Kristofer Harris.
