Ni/Co comprises of artists Dani and Colton. Growing up in Atlanta, Dani found herself drawn to R&B whilst dancing and singing with industry professionals. Colton spent his formative years in Ohio and featured on NBC’s ‘The Sing-Off’. After relocating and meeting up in Nashville, their combined influences gave birth to Ni/Go’s fresh and welcoming sound. Working with producers in Nashville, LA and London, they’re improving their artistry and making a digital presence. In less than a year, they amassed over 8 million YouTube views across several videos. To date, they’ve have featured on several networks including CW, VH1, NBC, and Freeform.
Ni/Co’s new and upcoming single is “Legend” featuring JT. This track has a soundtrack feel you can associate with a TV series or film score, so it’s not surprising to see it’s being used as a backdrop to promote Season 2 of ‘LA’s Finest’ starring stars Jessica Alba and Gabrielle Union. It’s effective, subtly recontextualizing familiar sounding melodies, with sparse instrumentation and synthetic arrangements that seem to mold their way around the sharp vocals and an accompanying lyrics.
