Flyght Club is the musical project of Los Angeles-based Shauvik Sharan. The music of Flyght Club emphasizes versatility, covering a wide range of popular genres and exploring new styles. Each song is designed to fit different moods and emotions. Shauvik writes, produces, performs, and mixes the music himself, resulting in a genuine and authentic sound that allows listeners to connect with the artist on a deeper level.
Originally from Pune, India, Shauvik moved to Los Angeles 9 years ago. Growing up on classic rock artists such as Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton and Pink Floyd built Shauvik’s strong foundation in music and encouraged him to master the guitar at an early age. After a couple years of playing in rock bands and winning DJ competitions, Shauvik decided to focus on the art of production and engineering, as well as singing and songwriting. This is what gave birth to his project Flyght Club.
Flyght Club has had the opportunity to work with artists such as Jason Derulo, MrMovi3, and King Cruff, as well as producers like Smash David. Flyght Club has also been assisted by award-winning audio engineers Mikal Reid and Ben Hogarth, and Grammy-winning engineer Francis Buckley. Additionally, he has studied under and played with legendary guitarists Scott Henderson, Allen Hinds, and Dan Gilbert.
His latest release “Nobody Else Knows” marks the beginning of a new chapter for Flyght Club, after taking some time off to focus on the direction of his new sound. Introducing an 80’s synth pop meets modern blues rock track, “Nobody Else Knows” is equal parts infectious and dynamic, showcasing a unique blend of styles. Shauvik explains, “The goal with this song was to make honest music, going back to my roots with giving importance to the electric guitar, both in terms of production and songwriting, while still making something groovy and fun that people can dance and sing along to.”
“Nobody Else Knows” tells the story of a girl, who on the surface appeared to be sweet and innocent, but behind closed doors was the complete opposite. The songwriter shares, “There was a side to her that only I knew and it was so unexpected but fun to experience this.”
