Australia’s most laid-back band Rum Jungle kicks off their first 14-date UK/EU tour with a brand new music video for their new single, “Did The Morning Let You Down”. Marking the first installment of new music for 2024, this year is set to be an explosive time for the band, having already sold out London, Bristol and Manchester shows and with performances lined up at The Great Escape, FOCUS in Wales, and A Stones Throw Festival in Newcastle.

After a successful and eventful year, the band decided to take a break and spend a week at Sonora Studios. They enjoyed cheap barbecue lunches, scary cocktails, and long nights to create an honest display of sonic melodies that reflect their good spirits. With the help of engineer Jack Nigro and Tasker, they worked hard and now have released their latest single, showcasing the wonder and cohesion that the band embodies. Frazer from the band says, “We had the most fun we have ever had while recording this song, and it’s with a huge amount of gratitude that we present it to you all.”

Benny, a member of a band, describes their track by saying, “It’s hard to believe that there hasn’t been a morning in your life when you woke up feeling great after a fun event from the previous night or feeling weighed down by something. We all make mistakes and things can go wrong, making it tough for everyone. However, this song is about picking yourself up and moving forward, understanding that the world is the way it is. It’s about finding that person, thing, or reason that can give you the energy to keep going with some musical stability.”

Rum Jungles’ latest EP, Hold Me In The Water debuted at #3 on the ARIA Vinyl Album Charts and #12 on the ARIA Australian Album Charts back in November whilst their their lead single ‘Dash Of Speed’ landed at #199 in the triple j hottest 200 of 2023.
