BROOKLYN ROBINSON – Brooklyn just booked a lead role in the upcoming Amazon Show, SHELBY’S HAUS. She also plays the lead role in the film PINEAPPLE, which just had it’s run at Sundance Film Festival in January. Since the run, PINEAPPLE was bought by the upcoming digital video website, Blackpills. She has 3 films in production that are set to release in 2018 including BLOODY HANDS, ESCAPE: PUZZLE OF FEAR, and GRANITE. Brooklyn’s many other credits include: Funny or Die’s BIG SHORTIES as Marisa Tomei. MODERN FAMILY, MONSTERS and THE BOOK OF TRUTH, just to name a few. Brooklyn won several awards for her role as Lucy in the filmLIKE ME, including a Young Entertainers Award a Rising Star Award from Harvard Writers Guild, and an award for Best Leading Actress at Indie Fest.

Hi, Brooklyn! It is a pleasure to speak with you. Thank you for granting the interview. You just booked a lead role in the upcoming Amazon show called “Shelby’s Haus”. Tell us more about the series’ premise plus your character and role.
Thank you for interviewing me! Shelby’s Haus was filmed on location in Brooklyn, NY. It is a series about Shelby and her adventures in NYC. Without giving anything away, let’s just say my character is super funny and a bit of a troublemaker!
You’re also playing a lead role in the film “Pineapple.” Tell us more.
Pineapple is a series about a coal mining town where a terrible thing happens in the mine. I play the sheriff’s daughter. The show is a drama.
You have 3 films in production that are set to release in 2018, including “Bloody Hands”, Escape: Puzzle of Fear, and Granite. What has been your biggest takeaway from each film?
Each film was so different to work on. Bloody Hands was cool because I got to work with Orlando Brown. Escape: Puzzle of Fear is a mystery movie and I got to have an onset first on this film! Unfortunately, I can’t give away what happens because it is very crucial to the plot. Granite was fun because I played the lead as a little girl. I also made 2 good friends on that set!
What do you enjoy most about acting?
I love being a storyteller! To get to transform into different characters is amazing.
Did you always want to be an actor?
Yes and I also want to be a zoologist when I grow up.
If you could play any role what would it be and why?
I love working on dramas. I would like to be the lead in a Lifetime or Hallmark Movie, preferably a Christmas one.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like going to the zoo and swimming.
If you could star in the next Marvel or DC movie, what superhero would you like to play and why?
Hmmm well, that would be a super cool experience! I would love to be able to fly as a superhero!
Are there any projects you would like to add that we haven’t mentioned?
Yes coming out soon on Sundance TV I am in the Ministry of Evil Miniseries.
