We had the wonderful opportunity to chat with Nadine about her upcoming projects. Check out the interview below.
Hi, Nadine! You have an impressive resume, and we can’t wait to speak with you about your projects! Let’s start with First Kiss. You play Kayce Thaxton. Tell us more.
Kayce Thaxton is a sweet, all American girl who is ready to enter young adulthood. She is a typical 17-year-old who wants what most 17-year-old girls want – especially a relationship. She loves her family despite their quirks, but that doesn’t stop her from being embarrassed when she brings over a boy she wants to date. She knows that her home and family look very ordinary for the middle-upper class all American family that they are, but that they act anything but ordinary. She wants her potential boyfriend to know that she is not her family and she won’t let them come between what could be a great relationship. She is a very determined, if not a little overwhelmed, young woman. For the night that the film takes place in, all she wants is for her crush Trevor to not run away and never come back.
Do you feel that this film delivers a unique plot?
Absolutely! First Kiss is such a comedic, unique film that anyone would enjoy the challenges Kayce goes through trying to get a private moment with her crush despite her quirky family. Every member of the family has their own distinct unusual personality that is displayed in the film.
What should the audience expect?
The audience should expect to laugh. A lot. The writer, Darren W. Conrad, puts a lot of passion into his work and it really shows. The cast of First Kiss is fantastic. Everyone in this film brought their A-Game and the finished product is a hilarious, family-friendly film. The film is just as fun to watch as it was to make.
In Perfect Parents, you play Sandra. Tell us about your role and character.
Sandra is a rich woman who is looking to adopt a child that she can spoil and have a nanny raise to be just as fabulous as her. She’s the type of woman that wishes her husband would just understand that the color of the Bentley she wants isn’t just pink, it’s rouge, and that getting a manicure regularly is just as essential as breathing.
OK, let’s talk Perpetual. You have a lead role. You play Isabelle Galahad. According to IMDB, you play a doctor who discovers the formula for immortality and is hunted by a former patient. The storyline is enough to make people sit at the edge of their seats! Tell us more!
Perpetual is based on Lieutenant colonel Nathan McMillian, a government soldier that can’t be wounded with any regular weapons. His invincibility is because of Dr. Isabella Galahad, who operated on him to make him unstoppable. Nathan McMillian is prepared to retire when he’s given one last mission – to hunt down Dr. Galahad. You have to watch to find out what happens next!
After a successful film and television run, you’re appearing in short films, too. Tell us more.
I enjoy short films because they challenge me as an actor to create and develop a character onscreen in a short amount of time. I love how I’m able to be so creative in finding a way to show different personality aspects of a character while not having an entire feature to do it.
You continuously hone your craft. What keeps you inspired?
My inspiration is the joy I get out of acting. No matter what type of acting it is, I love being able to become a different person. We are only given one life as humans, but actors can have unlimited lives in the sense that they live the life of the character they are portraying. As an actor, you can be anything, anywhere. I want to explore and experience as many character’s lives as I possibly can as authentically as humanly possible.
Thus far, what has been the best experience working in the industry?
The best experience in the industry, in my opinion, is ongoing. Aside from the actual acting, my favorite thing is meeting all the absolutely amazing, creative, hard-working people that are in the industry. The people I meet are unbelievably talented and determined, no matter what part of the industry they are in. They are so diverse with all sorts of different backgrounds and nobody has the same story.
Do you have any upcoming projects that we haven’t mentioned?
One of the projects that I’m able to talk about is called Harley Quinn: Pop Culture Nightmare. I will be taking on the role of Harley Quinn and I’m so thrilled to do so. In Harley Quinn: Pop Culture Nightmare, a reporter named Jack Ryder has managed to get an interview with the one and only Harley Quinn who resides within Arkham Asylum. Harley tells her journey from medical student to thrill killer.

If I had an opportunity to do anything I want, I would take the opportunity to continue the path I am on. I would want to continue meeting amazing people, filming constantly and getting to see all the entertainment industry has to offer. I aim to experience a wide variety of roles in a wide variety of genres.
