Samantha Gangal is 14 -years old. She is a singer/songwriter, influencer and actress with over 50,000 followers on Instagram. Samantha is best known for her recurring guest star role on the Dreamworks Television Series OMG! and for her lead role as Lilly Franks in the award-winning film Make a Wish, Mom. Samantha plays Victoria Doe in the upcoming feature film Psychopaths set to release in late 2018. Her other credits include a guest star role on Investigation Discovery’s Blood Relatives and roles in the films Feral, Solstice, Distant Sun, and The Deadlight, just to name a few. Samantha is passionate about giving back and is involved with volunteering for charities such as Rosie G and The Animal Project.

Hi, Samantha! It is a pleasure to speak with you. Thank you for granting the interview. You’re an actress, singer and songwriter, and influencer. What inspired you to become an actress?
Ever since I can remember, I loved playing different characters. When I was eight years old I participated in a theatre production of Annie Jr. I was hooked after that.
You’re also a recurring guest star on the DreamWorks Television series OMG! Tell us about the series and the role you play.
There were a couple of series I was able to do. One was Just Jacques. It was about a French foreign exchange student navigating life in his new school. The other was called Boy Band Billy. It was about an ex-boy band singer trying to adjust to a normal life with regular kids. Both were really hilarious.
You’re also playing Victoria Doe in an upcoming feature film? Tell us more.
I play the adopted daughter of a police detective who is searching for a serial killer.
What do you enjoy most about acting?
I love to be able to play all sorts of different characters. It’s fun to play somebody who may not be like I am in real life.
Is there a role you would love to play?
I really enjoy both comedic and dramatic roles so much. I think it might be interesting to play a role in a horror film some day.
You’re passionate about giving back and you’re involved with volunteering for charities, such as Rosie G and The Animal Project. Tell us more.
Rosie G is a clothing line designed by a friend of mine (Grace Rose) who suffers from cystic fibrosis. I feel honored to have been able to perform at some of her events. Proceeds are given to the LA Children’s Hospital in the hopes of finding a cure.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to travel and hang out with my friends. I also love singing as a solo artist and collaborating with friends on various musical projects.
If you could star in the next Marvel or DC movie, what superhero would you like to play and why?
My very favorite superhero was Spiderman. I always thought it was cool how he could scale tall buildings with little effort.
