Lightbulb Film Distribution has announced that the festival hit “Dead Lover” will be arriving in select UK and Irish cinemas in Stink-O-Vision starting March 20. Following its world premiere at Sundance, the film has also been showcased at several festivals, including SXSW, Night Visions, TIFF, the Edinburgh International Film Festival, and the Soho Horror Festival.

“Dead Lover” is a darkly comedic horror film that will appeal to fans of *The Rocky Horror Picture Show*, *Death Becomes Her*, and Mary Shelley’s *Frankenstein*. The story revolves around a smelly gravedigger who longs for love and, after finding it, becomes determined to keep it—even in death.

Directed and co-written by Grace Glowicki, the film features Glowicki alongside Ben Petrie, Leah Doz, and Lowen Morrow, each of whom plays multiple roles. The plot follows a lonely gravedigger, who, reeking of corpses, finally meets her dream man. However, their romance is cut short when he tragically drowns at sea. Grief-stricken, the gravedigger resorts to morbid measures to resurrect him through outrageous scientific experiments, leading to grave consequences and an unexpected love story.
