Listen To Me debuted at the East End Film Festival 2015, where it was nominated for the Best UK Short Film Award. In December at the 25th Bath Film Festival, Listen To Me opened for Hsio-Hsien Hou’s The Assassin, which Sight & Sound Magazine named the best film of 2015. In 2016, Listen To Me was officially selected at 2 BAFTA qualifying film festivals; London Short Film Festival and Aesthetica Short Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Best Thriller Award.
It is a short movie that revolves around a girl named Eleanor. She is a musicologist and moves into a new apartment before the New Year’s Eve. However, she hears arguments coming from the neighbor from the very first day. These arguments frustrates Eleanor, and she takes necessary measures in order to call the police. However, the police refuses to take a look into the report, and this leads Eleanor to recording what she hears. This leads to tragedy.
From the starts, Listen To Me follows a dramatic theme. It creates curiosity within the minds of the viewer as soon as they begin to watch. The exciting points of the movie have been produced in such a way, it will have you wanting to see more. Listen To Me can be considered a unique movie due to its length to convey a powerful message. It shows what action and negligence can cause in the society that we live in.
