Matt Koelsch teams up with the celebrated country singer-songwriter Christie Huff for his latest project entitled “Turn Around” The track narrates the romantic tension between two people that connect in a public space and the suspense and fantasy that grows in their minds after the initial moment.
Reminiscent of Jack Johnson meets Paul Simon, Koelsch delivers melodic songwriting with a low key, relaxed, and centered tranquillity. The track is anchored around Koelsch’s guitar but the supporting string quartet adds a warm cinematic and timeless quality. This is complemented by the perfect synergy and delivery of Koelsch and Huff’s impassioned vocals.
Matt Koelsch has built his music career around stirring lyrics, percolating rhythms, and soaring vocals.
