Emerging from humble log cabin beginnings and raised on the Jersey Shore, Mistine is quickly carving out her own space in the pop/rock landscape. Her music is a vibrant fusion of classic rock’s warmth and rhythm with the raw sincerity of modern pop, drawing inspiration from icons like Aerosmith, Taylor Swift, Avril Lavigne, The 1975, and Maggie Rogers. The result? A sound that’s both nostalgically familiar and strikingly fresh.

Mistine—born Christine Meisenhelter—found her calling in music as a third grader, mesmerized by Carly Simon’s performance in Piglet’s Big Movie. That spark set her on a path that led her to USC’s Thornton School of Music, and later, to the national stage as a touring musician. She’s spent over two years on the road with Conan Gray, and has also played alongside acts like aespa, BiigPiig, Meg Smith, WiztheMC, Zeph, McKenna Grace, Haiden Henderson, INJI, and Sierra Spirit. Whether as an artist, songwriter, or session and touring musician, Mistine’s versatility and drive have shaped her into a compelling new voice in indie pop.

But Mistine’s ambitions extend beyond music. With a Masters in Science for Sustainable Business Leadership, she’s also a passionate advocate for sustainability. She’s brought this commitment into the music world, serving as Sustainability On-Site Coordinator at the Las Vegas Sphere for the Grateful Dead residency, and working on Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour. For Mistine, music and environmentalism are deeply intertwined—her songs often explore the fragile relationship between humanity and nature, using metaphor and emotion rather than overt messaging.

Her latest album, “i guess this is where we’re at,” is an 11-track journey through indie pop and alternative soundscapes, tackling themes of climate crisis and preservation with striking creativity. “I began exploring the idea of our planet as a friend or relationship—how each would feel through distraction and climate change, trying to preserve what we have left, like salvaging a relationship with a loved one,” Mistine shares. The record pulses with grunge-soaked guitars, experimental vocals, and 80s-inspired synths, making it her boldest artistic statement yet.

Mistine’s music has already caught the attention of major editorial playlists—Spotify’s Barefoot in the Park and New Pop Picks, Apple Music’s New in Alternative—and earned praise from several music outlets

At her core, Mistine wants her music to inspire thought, spark conversation, and bring joy—ideally, as the soundtrack to a sun-soaked drive with the windows down. Her approachable charm and heartfelt storytelling make every listener feel like a friend. As she says, “I want my fans to feel like they’re my best friends.”

With “i guess this is where we’re at,” Mistine invites you to join her on a journey that’s as introspective as it is anthemic—a soundtrack for a world in flux, and a reminder of the power of connection, both with each other and with the planet we call home.
