Director Kathleen Emitage explores the depth of music and how its power and significance have helped with the expression and discovery of self. This documentary comes in three chapters, covering three genres of music and perspectives of Rock, Jazz & Hip Hop. This documentary also explores how much music helps to feed the soul and has been an active tool of communication.
With appearances by the Indigo Girls, Vijay Iyer & Talib Kweli, their contributions help authenticate the purpose and message the documentary tries to communicate. This stands alone as an educational piece. It’s also an opportunity for any music lover to watch this musically consolidated and creative piece, which tells the story of the power of music differently.
The film is available on digital release this week.
