Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Ski Team, also known as Lucie Lozinski, has unveiled her new EP titled ‘Islands’. Drawing from her New Jersey roots, Lozinski infuses her music with authenticity and emotion. Her latest single, “Don’t Give Up (Yet)”, features an anthemic distorted guitar chorus that resonates with the essence of New Jersey. Known for her candid songwriting, Lozinski delves into her relationships with people and places, often inspired by moments of feeling stuck—whether it’s in a repetitive cycle with a friend, a boyfriend, or in a city that’s changed around her.

Growing up with a recording studio in her backyard, Lozinski was immersed in music from a young age, even performing at the U.S. Open international tennis championship at eight years old. The EP features the mesmerizing track “Islands”, a layered song and hymn that complements her indie pop single “Me”. Lozinski shares, “I wrote ‘Islands’ while producing ‘Me’. The bass sounded like crickets, and I started looping it and singing over it. The improvised melody and harmony had something so sweet and somber about it. We rapidly layered harmonies, all unplanned, just whatever I felt like singing. I think that improvised spirit of listening and just doing what feels right—whatever comes out—is what makes this song so special. There was very little planning and designing it. I just sang a song from the soul into the mic, and you can feel that.”

Produced in collaboration with Daniel Knowles, known for his work with Sharon Van Etten and Cigarettes After Sex, this EP is a testament to Lozinski’s unique artistry. Don’t miss out on this captivating musical journey—buy the ‘Islands’ EP today and experience the magic for yourself!
