Cara Paige, a 24-year-old singer/songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia, discovered her passion for music at a young age and found her voice through songwriting and playing the guitar. She began singing at the age of 8, but it was at 14 when she started playing the guitar that everything fell into place. She is entirely self-taught, which has made her musical journey uniquely her own. Her first song, “Red Flags,” was written when she was just 14 years old. At 17, she had the opportunity to professionally record it, marking the beginning of her journey into the music industry. After ten years of songwriting, her creative process continues to evolve, driven by a love for the art that grows stronger each day.

Cara finds solace in music and aims to connect with her listeners by sharing her own experiences and emotions through her songs. She prioritizes reaching a wider audience, not for the numbers, but for the chance to resonate with more people and create meaningful moments.

The singer-songwriter shares her latest single, “23.” The bold new track, which debuted at #13 on the iTunes Pop chart and #58 on the iTunes All Genre charts showcases her knack for blending raw emotion with compelling melodies, solidifying her status as an artist to watch. “23” poignantly captures the journey of self-acceptance and the challenges of navigating personal identity. With angsty lyrics like “I think I’m gonna explode, Mom’s obsessed with swiping right on my phone, another ‘Hey I’m sorry, but this just isn’t gonna work,’ now my head hurts,” Cara delivers a relatable narrative that speaks to listeners of all ages.
“I constantly feel like I’m trying to be someone I’m not just to get people to like me,” Cara reveals. “There’s this persistent voice in my head saying, ‘just be you, just be you, just be you.’ The struggle with self-perception is a recurring theme in ’23’. Everyone has their quirks, and embracing them is what makes life interesting. Despite societal pressures, I found solace in being a songwriter, and that’s all that matters.”
