Sister Envy hails from the North Wales coast, a place of mystery, harshness, and beauty. It’s a place where opportunities are limited for younger people, yet dreams can break through. This fast-emerging Alternative Psychedelic rock quartet met at college and is a brand new signing to the North Wales label Yr Wyddfa Records Snowdonia, home to Holy Coves. The band released their second single ‘Tide’ this month to coincide with their debut appearance at Focus Wales. ‘Tide’ is the follow-up to their warmly received debut single ‘Mourning Sickness’. The song features cinematic psychedelia and grows from enveloping heart-on-the-sleeve melodies, decorated in a carousel of psych-tinged guitars, into a sprawling epic anthem.
