With roots in Mexican and French Lebanese heritage, Sacha Boutros grew up immersed in a European household in San Diego. Her early life was defined by discipline and ambition—she played soccer and tennis at a semi-professional level before turning her focus to academics, graduating with honors in Marketing and International Business from one of the top business schools in the United States.
.
Yet, it was music that ultimately called to her. Not content to simply perform, Boutros made her mark as one of the few female producers in jazz, founding her own record label, production, and publishing company. Through her company, Hear Me Roar, she curates entertainment across genres for Fortune 500 companies and major festivals. Her recordings have resonated worldwide, reaching number one on iTunes, climbing to number five on Billboard in the US, Europe, and Asia, and making notable appearances on the jazz charts in Japan, as well as the Francophile and Canadian charts.
.
With her latest project, Sacha: Paris After Dark, Boutros celebrates a century of French and American composers. The album draws from her deep well of inspiration—jazz, blues, pop, swing—and her enduring affection for both the Great American Songbook and classic French pop. Singing in French, English, and a touch of Italian, she offers stylish, soulful reimaginings of standards made famous by legends such as Gilbert Bécaud, Jacques Brel, Sidney Bechet, Sacha Distel, Joe Dassin, Cole Porter, Dalida, and Serge Gainsbourg.
This ten-track collection marks Boutros’s fifth full-length album and the second in her After Dark series, which began with Sacha: NY After Dark in 2013. The series will soon expand to include Sacha: Las Vegas After Dark, introducing Patrick Hogan, and Sacha: Mexico After Dark—an homage to her mother’s heritage.
.
“For me, this album is a love letter to Paris, to music, to my childhood and family, and to the powerful bond between cultures,” Boutros shares. “The After Dark aesthetic captures the sound and spirit of a city at night—the music you hear in cafés, clubs, taxis, and on the streets. I’ve never been more found than when I’m lost in Paris.” Rooted in jazz but spanning genres, the project weaves together beloved French pop songs from the 1960s and ’70s with classic American standards, creating a soundscape that pulses with the vibrant energy of Paris after dark.
.
Sacha: Paris After Dark features a stellar ensemble of renowned French and French-American musicians, including trumpeter Stéphane Belmondo, pianist Franck Amsallem, guitarist Hugo Lippi, bassist Thomas Bramerie, and Madagascar-born drummer Tony Rabeson. Each artist brings their unique voice to the project, enriching Boutros’s vision with authenticity and soul.
.
Released on October 17, 2025, by Hear Me Roar Records, this album stands as both a personal journey and a celebration of the enduring magic that happens when cultures—and music—meet under the city lights.
