We’re supporting the new www.kushcinema.com streaming platform crowdfunding campaign and encourage you to support it too!
KushFilms is a pioneer in the UK film industry, celebrating 25 years of opening doors and putting African diasporic stories and films on the big screen. The birth of Kush Cinema Online was seed long in nurturing. It was spurned into growth and reality during the devastating pandemic of 2020- 2021 and the sudden online demand and consumption of digital media, but the fuel that propelled its trajectory was the heinous and senseless murder of George Floyd.
As a pioneering film exhibition and marketing company within the heart of the black community in London, the organization’s ethos has always been to support disadvantaged independent BME filmmakers, create wider public access and awareness, and make a significant difference in supporting BME filmmakers in the global film industry.
KushFilms now launches its pioneering community focussed new streaming platform supporting BME filmmakers and creating a one-stop-shop for you to enjoy great black films. They need to raise a whopping £72,000 for more development & launch this month and need you to join others that have supported the movement and already donated. Let’s push them toward that goal. They will also be giving back to supporters.
