Almost ten years ago Truth Revolution Recording Collective (TRR Collective) assembled their artists and other guest artists to record a holiday compendium album entitled Together.  The album was very successful and continues to sell many copies especially around the holiday season.  The camaraderie that was born between the labelmates was a very special moment for all involved and marked the beginning of growth for the label.  Since then many of the artists have recorded very successful projects that have gained notoriety for themselves as well as TRR Collective, but there hasn’t been an “all-star” appearance like the aforementioned album Together…. until now!

In the midst of these turbulent times, beauty is being born out of tragedy. TRR Collective has begun to work on a new recording project with many members from Together returning for this new venture as well as many new great artists.  Led by pianist and co-collective owner Zaccai Curtis, the working title for this project is  American Classical Music and it will be one for the ages.  Zaccai Curtis, Luques Curtis, Darryl Yokley, Ray Vega, Rachel Therrien, Little Johnny Rivero, Mitch Frohman, and many others are performing and arranging- or perhaps de-arranging might be a better way to say it- prominent works of classical music such as Chopin’s Prelude in E Minor, Beethoven’s Ode to Joy, Debussy’s Clair de Lune, Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio Espagnol, and the Firebird Suite by Stravinsky.  All in all the project consists of 16 tracks!  These ‘derangements’ will be a nice twist that will leave listeners in awe.  The most amazing part of this all is that it is all being recorded from the homes of the musicians so when I say that beauty is being born out of tragedy, I sincerely mean it!

Things are underway with the project, but in order to bring this amazing project to life, TRR Collective needs to raise money.  There is a Go Fund Me that is underway in an effort to secure the funds necessary to pay all the musicians, arrangers, and producers involved. For each track of music, there are about five musicians involved, and each musician gets paid $75-100 per track, or at least that is the goal.  With over 38 musicians involved….well… you get the idea…. This project needs your support! No donation is too small and it will surely help to bring this music to fruition.  Also, please be sure to help spread the word about this campaign by sharing this article as well as the Go Fund Me itself. The arts are in a precarious position right now with clubs not being able to open up, musicians not able to really record with the best of qualities yet Zaccai and the artists at TRR Collective are doing everything in their power to create some amazing art for the world to enjoy in these trying times.  For further information please visit the following links.
