Many know Positive K from the 1992 smash, Hip Hop hit I Got a Man. Positive K is back on the music scene with a track that is explosive and punchy from the very first second you push play. The song features some uplifting, melodic and energetic vocal hooks, that blur the lines between excellent rap and singing abilities. The beat is groovy, direct and upbeat, with some ties to the old school world. I love the turntable effects, as well as the simple, yet rich piano keys, which add some amazing textures to the drum tones and to the vocals. The song also features the talent of Mr. Cheeks and Greg Nice, who also contributes to the greatness and personality of this tune, particularly in the catchy hooks.
Positive K stays true to his name and really delivers a positive, bright and uplifting track to his audience. The “Make It Happen” remix is a true banger, but it also has a refreshingly cool message.
