An independent science-fiction movie starring Malibu-based actress Tracey Birdsall has been officially recognized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Rogue Warrior: Robot Fighter, written and directed by sci-fi veteran Neil Johnson and starring Birdsall as a rebellious robot-fighting arms dealer, is now eligible for this year’s Oscars.
The Academy Awards ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, will honor the best films of 2017 and will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California at 5:00 p.m. PST on March 4, 2018.
Rogue Warrior: Robot Fighter was released in theaters, and later on DVD and VOD, through Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
Birdsall stars alongside William Kircher, Daz Crawford, Stephen Manley, and Marilyn Ghigliotti.
